what's for dinner puss? In the monk's garden

some animatic work for the 2d animation we're making this term in Flash. I want to continue with this series 'In the monk's garden' after tafe is finished, I really like Flash and can't wait to shape tween the leaves of the tree into flipping goldfish. It's going to test my brain and give me more reason to skip the wine with dinner. Next is my attemp at shape tweening so far:

Thought it would be fitting to begin the thread with creeping lemon Thyme and my new (recycled) oxfords $4 from the Emporium.

stumbled upon an op shop I forgot was even here yesterday and found some lovely things like this quilted bag Ulysses also likes, then again, he is not fussy and will climb into any bag or pocket.
Weeks ago I picked up this girls collar thing ladies used to wear over a jumper to dress it up a bit but it looked strange on it's own until I paired it with this broach from west Germany (well so it was labled in salvos). I think they're dreamy together and to cellebrate I put on my oxfords and lacy cleaning pantaloons and went prancing round the house doing the chores.

Rubin came back tonight, the big orange cat I've had since my teens (a very long time ago). It is disturbing to admit that he must be losing his mind; skittish one minute, cuddly the next and then we don't see him for four weeks. This is the reason I am insisting Ulysses be an indoor only cat, I don't think it is cruel when i look at my poor old cat dissapearing over the back paddock through sheets of rain. He refuses to come inside and is terrorfied if we put him in so having an outdoor cat is not only bad for the native wildlife but bad for them in their dementure.

Reasons to Draw what you're Daydreaming About

1. You can keep it without paying for it and look at it every day, even pin it to a wall you are frequently passing.
2. You can embellish it, make it suit your taste more perfectly.
3. Drawings take up very little room, require no dusting/washing/mending and the kitten isn't really interested in them so it is more likely to remain intact.
4. When you need some inspiration for a creative endevour (comics, a flash 2d animation, birthday present paintings, applique quilting..) you have a collection of things you've loved in passing to use; whether it be objects, characters (animal or human) or scenery.
5. It is better than a diary of mere fluff words.
